Sharing to Support Health & Well-being

Throughout the past few weeks, we have been hearing from many of you about the importance of caring for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being. As your Board Chair, an Executive in the nonprofit field, and a Confidence Coach, I too have had to tap into resources and support for well-being, for those around me including my own.

YNPN-NYC is thrilled to announce that during these difficult times, we are curating webinars, articles, trainings from the best of the best in NYC and beyond.

I have listened and observed how others are pushing themselves to do more during this time of working remotely.  I know I can’t fully control the health crisis or solve every problem that arises from it. This sense of lack of control is a difficult feeling to experience and is often when I have to remind myself that sometimes all I can do is focus on what I can do to make me feel good in the moment and be mindful of maintaining my own health and wellness as best I can.

While there are many things we cannot control during this pandemic, what we can do is take steps to care for ourselves every day and strive to achieve modest goals to stay healthy, focused, and ready to respond - now and as we recover from this pandemic.

In light of this, we at YNPN-NYC have curated content to support our community in maintaining our Health and Wellness as best we can during this time. Through the rest of May, we will share resources and content from partners and we hope you can find tools that will support you in the moment and provide value to what you can influence directly. This will include resources like helpful articles, online fitness membership/activities, or tips to help calm the mind. Our goal this month is to help you find opportunities to maintain your mental and physical health.

If you would like to share any additional resources related to Health & Wellness, feel free to send us a message to board@ynpnnyc.org. Next month, June, we will focus on “Leadership Development” and we also encourage you to send any resources you would like us to highlight.

In Solidarity,

Shibani, YNPN-NYC Co-Chair
